The game has yet to be properly released, but was given a location test at one of London's most popular arcade centres - The Trocadero.

ArcadeHeroes reports that SEGA Amusements Europe is reusing the SEGA Racing Classic (the Daytona USA re-release) cabinet, but with new signs and much more fancy lighting - to help attract the punters.
Here are the known details so far:
* Three Game Modes:
- Single Player Quick Race.
- Multiplayer Quick Race.
- Single Player Championship: A three-tiered competition, come 1st, 2nd or 3rd to move to the next tier. (Come in first to unlock a special event in the next tier)
* Licensed cars, including: Dodge Viper, Saleen S7, Aston Martin DB9, Bugatti Veyron, Pagani Zonda, Jaguar XKR.
* Real world locations, including: Washington, San Francisco, Milan, Nurburgring, Donington.
* Full visual damage: Cars get battered and dented, but the damage is only visual and does not affect the handling of the cars.
* Reset button: Puts you back on the track facing the right direction almost immediately so you get straight back into the race after a smash.
* Six-player multiplayer: Multiplayer mode supports up to six players, simulataneous racing. However no online or tournament play is planned, just local (networked) racing.
GRID is due for a proper release later this year in the US and Europe, but no Japanese release is currently planned. For more details and plenty of pictures, check out the report on ArcadeHeroes.
